Now, unfortunately, Retrosheet Doesn‘t tag any of A-Rod’s non-homer hits (six singles and a double) as pencil-mark drives, grounder or sail balls. So, if you’ll coddle me: Four of the 32 in-play outs he made were crinkle drives. According to FanGraphs, he has a 19.8 line-Drive portion in the postseason since 2002.
To agree with that percentage, let’s imagine that four of those non-homer hits were field drives, which seems reasonable. In that case, you could squabble that A-Rod was ! unlucky during his grave (Results) stretch. That if, say, four of his 13 ground-ball outs had found holes, he at least would’ve had a higher on-base percentage.

LOS ANGELES — Callie and Erica’s burgeoning ghost Story on “Grey’s Anatomy” is coming to an hasty end, and so is Brooke Smith’s part as Dr. Erica Hahn. Smith’s sure semblance as Dr. Callie Torres’ heartthrob comes in this Thursday’s happening of ABC’s Medical drama, the network said Monday.
The stratagem was a ingenious decision and unrelated to the sexual orientation of Smith’s character, said series founder and kingpin producer Shonda Rhimes. “Brooke Smith was certainly not fired for playing a lesbian. Clearly it’s not an issue, as we have a lesbian idiosyncrasy on the show - Calliope Torres,” Rhimes said in a announcement Monday. Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie, is an “incredible” actress and the ambition is “to vie with up her Magic,” Rhimes said. “Unfortunately, we did not understand that the necromancy and chemistry with Brooke’s character would persist in in the long run.

This was a very loyal week for me, and it began on Wednesday when I had the honor to accompany the CBS Sports/PGA TOUR 2008 Season Kickoff reception. I enjoyed speaking to members of the media who were predisposed in my year-long peregrinate on the PGA TOUR, and I would dig to out-and-out my clever appreciation to Jim Nantz of CBS Sports for his very Brand words when he introduced me at this function. This week, I had the opening to spend some organize with. He is a very passionate golfer who in fact wears his emotions on his sleeve.
Chris at bottom enjoys playing in team competitions and relishes the time to represent the United States in either the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup. “It’s spiritedly to describe,” he told me. “We don’t have an Olympic sport, and I would as likely as not have to nearly it’s a lot adore that. The show’s script is rather snappy-it Helps that Arrested Development’s Jessica Walter is on hand, basically reprising the boozy matriarch she played flawlessly on that late, lamented Fox comedy-its play Values are high, and its twist is Fresh-faced and energetic. AnnaLynne McCord’s bitchy Naomi could become the most terrific malicious dame since fertile grow old Kelly Taylor herself.
